This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.+ Z: r1 c% S' F4 y: e' i

FUNCTIONS:
# M3 h6 C, Q1 `8 C7 `6 d• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.* i/ \. `* k) k H
• Collect proper fare, issue transfers.
# G% o! Q1 S4 b' K% w) w' O• Respond to customer queries concerning transit information.5 e" {4 F+ W& a+ C% O/ Z
• Operate a Transit diesel bus and/or trolley coach, on a day, night or split shift under varying weather

• Proven ability to deal directly with the public, with well-developed customer service skills; the ability $ S* Q$ ^1 K7 N& ^
to be diplomatic and courteous in dealing with the public, from the first passenger to the last passenger & _/ g( ^7 f5 D, |
of the day.
3 z% m- W: n4 {5 `2 o# x• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (operate bus controls, re-set trolley poles, provide passengers with assistance i.e. strollers, wheelchairs etc.).
1 a' v% Z- r. m; k- ]• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.
0 E& a& |) [" B• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.
1 d2 }) F% B0 J7 d• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date)

• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill + q. i3 Y* m. |- h c
video-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training)." p( l5 U* v$ Q# B$ \ u" ?. a

• Internal ETS applicants must have completed all mandatory in-house training.

Various hours of shift work (straight or split shift), any time of the day, any 5 days of the week

Training Rate: $16.56 Hourly# W, h3 U( v* K0 Y6 b
Post Training Rate: $20.36 - $25.45 Hourly
