This is a long term posting with the successful applicants being called to fill positions on an ‘as-required’ basis.! ]1 D8 |3 x9 u

• Transport passengers to and from destinations on prescribed scheduled routes.

• Obey and follow defensive driving guidelines, local traffic laws and Transit system regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
! T7 s8 Y5 w* b; {• Grade eleven (11) or an equivalent educational level is required. Formal training in driving or public relations will be considered an asset.
, J* x& }5 r$ f• Proven ability to deal directly with the public, with well-developed customer service skills; the ability ! I1 Q0 k; x( K' I
to be diplomatic and courteous in dealing with the public, from the first passenger to the last passenger 8 C- o, j" g+ u1 b6 O
of the day.
# ?0 @, x5 p0 h• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job (operate bus controls, re-set trolley poles, provide passengers with assistance i.e. strollers, wheelchairs etc.).
1 q2 b8 T2 D' A- i3 D% C+ O• Applicant must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's license (non-probationary and non-graduated) and must have held a valid operator's license for (3) consecutive years.
# \. p1 u$ }: k- G• Selected applicants must pass the Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's class 2 written test, at their own expense, prior to training.
+ [5 S& B$ w2 [ N4 a• Applicant must provide a current driver's abstract (obtained within 14 days of the video test date) 6 k9 n I3 Q. C8 K$ W
showing no suspensions and no more than 3 demerits recorded over the previous 2 year period. 1 x+ p F2 f0 B V
• Ability to pass a written English comprehension test, a public relations video-test, a driving skill : P! W9 `& ~4 ]( F
video-test, a Functional Abilities Recruitment Evaluation (F.A.R.E.) test, a pre-employment City medical examination and a Police Security clearance (at their own expense, prior to training).

1st year: Guaranteed minimum 67.4 hours bi-weekly; n( ?( z' G) N% ?" r
Thereafter: Guaranteed minimum 74 hours biweekly
