Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
9 {! e [! h$ S, Swork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
+ [; Y1 Q o% Oprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
/ p1 Y1 c! ]! c+ y$ y! YChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
& [: h6 x+ z% b4 o$ Y$ `$ Partist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
$ n1 w6 P# y! t* pEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
; _# n' z5 [+ Svisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the$ ?! e* P' ~4 T! k* Q* T
recyclables.# s3 y; O+ E$ ~% `: A2 w, \
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
! P2 K1 U- Y+ e1 Zpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.! ]; m+ i3 q4 E# a; u
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing$ a ?; a% j! c- c# S
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late/ p- L k8 O: J. x) F7 {3 t
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
# `8 U4 g9 A0 l3 Q" l' ^Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the+ i% E. C' `) I% `: Y6 ]% [7 d2 V
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide9 k& ^- n3 b" v/ {
programs to visitors to the festival.
! w# H L6 U: m9 cKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for# o1 v' F* A" J5 j: @
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
* m' z5 w( i) o7 DOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed% g9 E$ t6 D2 J2 p7 Z8 W
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
7 u b, C; Z+ X) N' b4 ]! Q' gfestival.9 s' \2 R- G% j2 _& [
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
# B5 y: K, ^. Q0 D& {operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
, R+ D2 o! k0 S" D' V$ kare physically fit and ready for any emergency.! _, U& _" C M5 r' y
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
2 r! i0 H5 P# ?7 C0 Vand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
/ N$ H9 U' p" ]: M+ N1 TTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be% P8 O4 Y! r, N) Q `9 o8 s( k! k
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as3 f, B5 k& |2 f. O6 f
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
( ~- E& M( {; s6 Y1 {+ \staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
