Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the% ?9 C6 ` K* ?6 u8 N
festival.
1 m8 Q% a4 f, s5 Y$ cBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
+ s' I/ Y3 [' @* G0 s4 C( d3 uwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
; v. ]% H* A8 V1 `3 s, t; T. X7 \# gprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.; Q0 U& i% \6 C! b7 u; j! X/ X( a- o
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the+ k2 h% W1 }; k! n7 D" e- X
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.% v! m- I2 r- U) E; Q" B3 H
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
$ U9 x6 x5 |7 j6 X c0 O7 evisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
. M& l0 i& X! H: ?0 N/ _6 N# i4 g6 _recyclables.
$ h' e+ D5 V% @6 x4 U& D FFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
! X- m- k4 a" `8 L7 J8 Xpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.3 m. R3 _# x, z& {; ?
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
2 B; P( A7 C( M4 N; _* cthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late$ J# c# x# S, e9 x/ Z! a3 v
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
* L5 X" @ P8 D8 f. mInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the! }. o8 G% G6 Q
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
, m3 E1 L# A+ O' K% C' P8 ?; Q. Pprograms to visitors to the festival.
* l# }& f: N3 A& q! kKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for* ^8 Y) N/ |+ R2 @% L
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.- t: L: C3 r2 }0 F5 ]" H! [
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
$ D% k$ H ^- w& B- j- yevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the& f* `3 k# r: N* G: o: ]. W$ @# Z
festival.
( `+ } t& @9 n- x8 ] wSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is7 M3 _* @+ e: T) P/ S
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
/ L" c6 j3 g; k! }are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
3 ` l: A& m$ Y# TStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training3 c2 b5 i4 Z, t0 Y/ [. g
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
' `5 C6 U6 g1 c. h/ j: J6 {* |Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be. Y+ e4 M% t, P* t' p( a1 u
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
& q; G0 Z/ M# E0 L$ Pairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival* Q% f; ?* l* P6 ~/ g/ t
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
