# @& O8 T W1 B- W5 B% z/ r. F7 P! Y1. Serve as a key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies. # o5 U" }0 H- A
2. Manage technology alliance activities, including the coordination of appropriate agreements’ execution, alliance negotiations, and post-deal compliance in China.
; n. G6 K0 T& O6 |7 z3. Develop business plan and strategy to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms. * ]: B3 R- H! G6 S
7 B# [% u) ^& PPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:3 S( `4 P' W" J* ^
. A. s9 O" H4 E: s, U! K' C
1. MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in agricultural biotechnology related fields (such as plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant genetics, bioinformatics, etc.) are highly desirable. # i$ _6 ?( H: n7 n1 D% f
2. Proven experience in technology identification and licensing within China, or equivalent experience with biotechnology research and commercial licensing agreements is preferred., ?# ^. U' U8 n1 F
3. Working knowledge of Intellectual Property policies, including Chinese and international patent regulations and procedures would be advantageous.
4 X* e& S5 Y5 j0 e4. Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationships with major biotechnology institutes in China would be advantageous.
6 x6 I3 u9 V6 y$ T6 L2 P2 R5. Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment. ' P# \" u5 v( _ e
6. Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.
