ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. , f) t+ I7 }) n$ |2 E5 _ A/ D$ mThe CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.: x) ?: y( }6 s

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
: o% `! i, X3 \' y: p b2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
2 e$ }9 u( L" n5 O5 O3 G6 K% L3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
' ?; v n% C) E0 }/ S) M4. Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
