BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving) z1 C9 Q3 l+ E

! a/ `: w: g4 u! ?) [7 ?22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  - g1 h# {3 p" B% U
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
, w' o; p" p8 ]5 s# c3 t3 Jprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  % u. m/ S1 G1 R
cleanliness and order in the bar.$ x+ a# r, H' h0 [  s

9 k3 i( O5 A; H( S& _5 rDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
6 l& }3 a1 q: h# r- I1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  ! J1 d4 o1 j. j, ?
beverage items.

- O0 r* G/ v- h2 h( R2 u# U/ I2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  $ X* t$ [. ?$ ^" D  D
bar and debit floats.

" q0 }% `" ^7 b/ {3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  , r2 R' `7 j; u/ \" |2 B) A3 J3 n
each shift, and upon closing.
$ D7 _& ^. S+ S& w5 x% x8 L3 v$ \! j. h. c. X* I  H: w# m+ Q3 y
4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  / B  y! t0 ^8 k1 _8 K& `6 c8 V
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  + x# ~. g) o- d* k+ H9 m" O9 [) k
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  + f4 K! B6 E! h, |
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
1 e1 q% w" V1 \, _! o6 B2 P+ @9 Rproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.. e8 b# m; J) c1 n: j( P) {! B9 Q# Y

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  # L1 f0 Q$ v% z. g( J! |
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
; H" Y5 i5 n; D$ h: j* l- A9 Phigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
3 w( Y- c7 [2 E+ caccordance with Students' Union policies." W) k) R7 U, k* r8 p" V& R

, K) z9 }; B5 g. e; l$ Q0 D7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a    N; @9 q$ T9 R2 x2 r
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

QUALIFICATIONS:
) u4 A$ ?( X7 [$ @, y7 d  b) K1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.) S/ ]1 A$ P. q  H$ f' D) a

3 k7 d: I$ e6 l) g0 T5 E8 F2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  ) b9 B# M+ t- g
operation.
* ^6 d( D% _! ^* h
1 H% u* n( F4 W7 o0 S3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
7 |: }( L0 E) S# C1 haccordance with Students' Union policy.
4 G  y' N  a) U. F$ ?, N, b! A% {: \4 O% i, f
4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
. x8 b8 s( Y9 a% r* S. F& i- {( d0 ^2 J
5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
9 }8 J* _; Y- ]- }1 wUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  8 T3 h7 k3 ^5 w% m4 [5 j9 I
attitude.
