+ ?5 t+ o, M6 d- n+ Q/ uJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  * u, K# d# j% U- @6 ?" E" V
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
3 |% w0 x+ W, v% i: tprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
  H6 u- b; X& m3 ?cleanliness and order in the bar.
& R$ f; e. G. Y5 n( x  o. I! L1 e. P: @" o7 n) X
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
: A# P. h' }7 S8 C8 _4 ?1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  ' B0 s: m0 V8 M, _: h
beverage items." ^; f# p' F: z/ }* y
: W4 }+ S# ]+ X, f2 V6 T  _
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
% V/ t+ h" l* D- M4 `) P) r! sbar and debit floats.
3 l" {% F! i- o2 S- N3 {) _
+ S. C. t/ P5 i% W& @, [/ c3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
  p3 R+ M. o) b& o2 Z! U8 P1 t; l7 e* veach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  2 @1 P# r) n+ b7 h' S
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  ) J. D0 |! ~% z5 q% A* Z
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.+ D$ t& u* `! ]3 Z
  o) l3 j+ v" z% B# Z, y
5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  7 o1 X5 h) C: _$ V* V1 j8 O" g8 b: T
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
6 S8 U# G1 y( E9 A8 Xproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
0 i* G  h6 X1 V5 m* n4 ~4 Bmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
7 j  k! M9 a' F6 C8 Jhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
- H7 H7 w- g* M8 n, B. D( e+ N- Qaccordance with Students' Union policies.0 e" d+ ]2 A- A; P8 j2 O

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  . Z6 |' `* B( P2 O/ U
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.

QUALIFICATIONS:( P$ X3 n' Y1 {# O, [% |" |# @7 p
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.5 y' e3 q6 \8 }+ a* ~
5 U' M* ]* F6 k5 c& i8 Q
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
/ t' f8 [# w( O5 koperation.
0 t$ g, L% h# q# D- N! r/ \6 w+ s' {2 \' v
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
& o8 j' [* a% Q: G" jaccordance with Students' Union policy.

4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.7 y, X- I1 ^8 O- g/ z2 Q
