2 s: B# y1 L! B8 g9 MJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
  g  I9 ^* }$ `Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
/ W9 [$ v- ]. G7 Z$ Qcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
: E. O; s" t# m. iorders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
7 @1 Y7 d3 n- l( C/ {+ xaccordance with Students' Union policies.
) L9 ]/ i/ r3 ?! K# R! X
3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

7 W0 c$ `% P5 t9 J6 x' R4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
2 a& A  `' r0 Gand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

6 H2 s/ `( |4 T5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
+ @% F% J1 d5 U; J* J  S+ i0 q7 faction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
( I1 r. [' y" G7 R1 d; z6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
6 a. q7 `3 v! K4 NAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

# E3 L* @# M5 [2 c; A0 s7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
4 d0 a" I" ?& g6 ZManager.

& a4 h& d5 Y+ G8 N0 _2 N: ^, E; mQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
/ @6 b' [2 W0 m$ D: Q$ b0 [# s+ |
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
: h( l( `$ x  |! k7 x0 h! Zoperation.

2 J* D4 n8 d2 \! m" w& X* T& i3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
" f6 n" n$ H9 U. V0 e# w' Z/ o2 ^card transactions.
1 O6 T: c5 t1 h, r# b: Z5 U' i) I
; a% ~' E& @/ `$ L' y5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
  `0 u2 r: i8 R' |0 q, r2 ]8 Q) aprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
