currently recruiting for the position of Summer Program Assistant - Job

: J4 h( m9 l; H) F  H- Z5 OSalary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
% D! @4 `6 L, V' Gpay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

2 [2 p* w( [4 k$ L1 _" \9 u3 QHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
. y: X# z' ^# A( N- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the

+ A1 Y9 E' G* V/ N8 ]Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
4 y/ p: x8 P/ {6 ECIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
7 {* A! n3 H: d0 @8 w3 n2 _participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
7 x4 |6 v& J- {% `( B3 Y9 ptheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
& M2 G, ^  E" X$ o. Z0 d6 w8 m: Tassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
& C3 d7 P1 o. i6 Wvenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
* c; ?! ?8 w! i4 R1 e& p8 s7 N. eoutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
% ]3 g* J+ D3 \7 s* M- ssuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

* T; \1 x" f2 b0 z. yQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
) M1 L& u( q8 P5 FCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
+ x, u2 v0 I  _* ~- y( [: Mfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
! M2 ^: W9 d8 H# e7 p! J  I. W+ wdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
: D& E: w( O, W  s0 O0 D8 N& p& ]/ {( yskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
