Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

" Q' i0 c/ L' Q% A6 ~Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
7 o, G8 ]  k; _3 S: xtechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
: N0 [* t+ X' m3 N; hfor use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
  \+ y* z1 `8 p( Zinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
) X! n' ?7 P: B/ V# P! K4 rcompounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
( f2 y, }& D3 d7 k# canalytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
7 y0 D; I5 p( l" r6 \separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
+ u0 j: O9 h+ u# V& c: m  X* x0 tof a team essential.
0 |1 U6 D& Z0 L) }This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
' v1 \! M2 o% v2 M3 L- F0 [and chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
# O9 _/ {$ Z7 t# K& Yhope to work in these areas.
