Non-ferrous Laborer

The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Job Responsibilities:

( s, d, X |6 D# m: a& Y PMust be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
" i5 D: O7 h5 h- cInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
( a" o6 \% _. A. b" vLoads and unloads non-ferrous material# w. E; N+ I* |# v
Must be able to work safely at all times
0 ]0 m5 V8 }5 i3 S9 P% hBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
% a+ Q$ x- J0 x, p d5 o' l+ L5 gPerforms routine housekeeping.

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

6 _# N n( ~8 c" ?Knowledge of non-ferrous processing2 k: S( f, R7 x0 f- x* x0 b
High school diploma (Or GED), ~' t4 Z, [/ x1 m
Well-articulated and assertive
& b" { ^: L! t6 b* ]Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
