Job Summary:
0 E2 F1 O; S/ bThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Monday – Friday 11 am-7 pm

Job Responsibilities:

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
- y4 o: h: H+ s% j, eInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials3 v! B# \: F; a$ _
Loads and unloads non-ferrous material
4 T( U% |* C3 q5 w. rMust be able to work safely at all times% y. @4 |* a2 `% }$ h1 n4 w
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently) t' g) ~8 q" X+ q+ p8 V# a( J
Performs routine housekeeping.
) J) M. \9 [( S! j% Z% DObserves and reports any safety issues0 F) }, M0 ?6 w- T0 p5 A% N

Metal recycling industry experience is an asset

Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
) e- a1 [% Z! y1 l/ }6 UHigh school diploma (Or GED)/ @: C( I' \' f' t$ Q
Well-articulated and assertive2 a" I/ E4 B; m% c
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization5 k/ @0 L2 B) ^
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
