3 e$ `; p& T' q% Lweekend hours.
# p$ Q3 W y3 p. m! K1 [! D% \ KYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
6 l; _2 y3 Q3 m3 |1 F/ c) {# Xlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the' j# G3 n( a7 l6 p
centre.* ^$ q& s' f+ Y1 G5 a
These responsibilities include:4 l- n' E& ? J5 K: u$ e6 q
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
+ C& H1 ^! j9 _. B# a-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
1 y5 H! X! b% O& [; I0 G-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and: ?: s- B* c# F0 w! @4 m! t( M
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to % K, T. s8 C- ` k+ Z/ r
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
9 K, X3 x5 o V-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic , }9 @ l& f. ~+ _; E# z9 z+ v* e
clients’ files etc. 3 r4 g' `; i5 h$ B$ [" N

Education:
/ A( o& ^) S: r! u/ o r' d8 P-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
, s- Q$ Y: m M; M& J4 deducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination $ D) p# ~- b9 j8 i: I" z/ ^: d
of education, training and /or experience. & e- _3 q8 I i- ~( p
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
) E D; ? x* B) Q-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
) ^ [6 b% l5 `/ M# w-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
5 d& u% \9 v K/ t1 Mand Excel.
j$ [& P. O4 ~1 R& ? @" p-Experience using and updating an information database. ; v* F5 n W, ~4 `

Assets:
' Z( V1 W( q9 ]% \# I, s-Experience in using MS Access.
# d+ l$ E* ?/ O3 y! U-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
