% w4 ]. _% s" w' I; ?, y) SStatistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
6 z$ `; f- [3 d- Zweekend hours.
; d J' {% F1 @1 JYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
+ [7 G8 G/ s' K' C( O% Q; ?5 Wlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the8 C' v d5 x- g/ G! L d8 A' C
centre.
0 m3 y" p8 a) u% a# Q2 sThese responsibilities include:' v! C) d' n* k5 k
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
5 f1 W2 W* a* H C# \; M-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.6 Z3 v% b$ u" H: m3 ?. [
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
" M8 t& N p( k( jrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to % V5 u; ^+ g9 j/ {* R
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
/ S/ Y) m/ y" H) Z/ {; v. u-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic % A- K( C& e& ^2 ~
clients’ files etc.
% R) c2 d& ^9 Y7 H wStatement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, - e" z0 Z# V& N4 `6 h
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
" H5 v5 {3 T$ S! ?7 b% Iof education, training and /or experience.
3 @5 J4 o* ?$ _/ h; l. g' {8 h/ MKnowledge/Technical competencies:
N! F& v+ s7 F0 x; s) x: _0 `- E7 K-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
- j8 r8 x, n8 r* f-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
! C I; o' e+ k3 k7 Qand Excel.
4 T9 h0 c0 m6 c* v% e-Experience using and updating an information database.

-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA
