Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week)

Job description
4 G$ m$ R% x, X6 {" q/ OStatistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
[; g7 a: h; oweekend hours.1 i! H7 {+ }* v* C( W2 e G
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
% h9 _- Y% P8 L. E9 @# qlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the2 Q) H I3 L$ C2 \. `
centre.( |# ]/ t: y p5 J$ s% [: F' S
These responsibilities include:
0 \ m' v' |7 F-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.0 ?3 m7 G( D" r8 H- h
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.- Z5 Y% d: O8 l+ c
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and; d; @8 I$ Z7 ?6 N$ T5 ]; h
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
* l) z% U8 A# t- V ~facilities’ maintenance, etc.
& K/ T `. @) p& _4 L t3 y-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic , n9 k5 }7 d, B* O
clients’ files etc. 8 s& J0 }) S6 U& V9 B: `+ l: J1 V0 b, \
Statement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, , W# u" W* m1 |3 J( u6 N+ P% K6 M
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination 8 m: O" b% M. }8 T
of education, training and /or experience.
9 W* q, b) ]2 W! sKnowledge/Technical competencies:& F) ?6 t* T/ l+ o7 n6 R |
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
, s2 Z% ?# j" |7 J0 X-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word6 N% z. K! a% J: [

-Experience using and updating an information database.

Assets:

-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA
