Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and
5 O# b- l {; R" P! K6 o) u5 |1 o# ]weekend hours. p* D8 b4 a$ G! D$ A8 I
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
; c! j+ i) G% Mlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the& `0 u; b* [2 X
centre.% N n( d+ N$ D7 G! n2 O
These responsibilities include:2 Q0 B4 Q4 z7 O$ t
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
; h# E) y* e, \0 N- |-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
3 k, C" J2 U1 s# F9 O. b-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and4 x/ [. m& m& a/ d/ d1 S- `
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
0 t v' p( }& R {3 Afacilities’ maintenance, etc.
. C' `' `, e# J- \$ x6 E4 I+ {3 H& m- m-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic `: T, w, `0 A& o9 v

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, ; [/ z4 |, O7 ]! l1 I0 u
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination

-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.6 j, v' q6 s9 f* L9 B
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word3 v1 c+ T4 z) D6 N. n" L" ?6 i p r
