Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
% Y1 N$ N2 O1 C+ @6 u0 D
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
+ ~/ M5 i5 U- ^& B* p2 q2 l' w, Y
3 ]* {- Y/ z, o. s+ ~- t1 L· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
7 `) S% f, j0 j0 W( W. z/ e( e
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

7 ~$ p/ M& T- z· Operate manual and automatic shifts

: t$ v# m+ g& u' a· Minimum 3 years experience
2 V; `. S8 c6 x( i2 O- H
4 }8 o8 F" r- Y! V4 a· Valid Class 1 license

6 X0 `5 l7 q. @0 a· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

0 H& ?( [9 S6 M; J9 Z0 N. i9 f· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills
6 E+ J6 S' S5 r$ A* W) @6 x
· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

2 K9 Y) ~0 U. O- Z$ q# L" }· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
