The procurement officer is responsible for:+ M1 b2 G+ _/ h' ~" r
- Identifying and serving the needs of each business department* \( M) a: l* R0 k, s
- Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers D1 S3 w5 {+ m. V$ O& J
- Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts

- Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses+ [ h: K8 L1 H3 E7 k5 y: }

Requirements: : l N) a/ X8 Z0 z% x
- Sound research skills
8 j( P5 Z) I2 o7 M8 h- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
7 o ^3 k. T8 g. c6 ~* i% N- Strong organization and time management skills 4 I/ K6 M8 V. N I, D
- Friendly and outgoing personality 4 C, x! J8 C% q8 @& j/ G: S
- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook ' @8 O+ `9 v4 b; X% {2 v6 y
- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred
' C: i- {; e/ h, B- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset ! g- T* E; C- u6 k2 M& N6 V
- Experience with Inventory control is an asset 9 `6 w1 b6 L: F) T0 H! h
