This position is an important role in the company where the successful candidate will lead the strategic sourcing of all required products and services.

The procurement officer is responsible for:
# n" y! |1 |/ i  a-        Identifying and serving the needs of each business department
7 L6 T$ F. i; I-        Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers
-        Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts
5 i; s; f7 a, z; d$ g+ x-        Building and managing supplier relationships
/ _0 R+ v0 m- ~2 y! D4 z-        Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses
; m& E4 e# t% B" g
* a* j' J( A: w5 F0 ^Requirements:
- Sound research skills
9 O" e! C; N9 q. E+ l8 |+ p. d- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
: v% I/ U1 H* R) `# i5 {/ o/ G- Strong organization and time management skills
- o9 g0 ^* Q( ^' s: b- Friendly and outgoing personality
) D0 D+ E. y2 e& A, Z. U- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
. u$ e( o; L+ v) V! r" A- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred  
- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset
8 X0 D  n- p6 \& ]- i6 U% f( e& X  N- Experience with Inventory control is an asset
