Clarica was introduced in 1999 by Mutual life of Canada, and was acquired by Sun Life three years later.4 X& ?. Z. b4 v4 P- T( n* \
There are almost two million Clarica policy- and accountholders in Canada, said Sun Life. Clarica also has a sales force of about 3,500.

The company said the changes will be completed by the first quarter of 2008. Sun Life will incur a $40-million to $50-million charge in the first quarter of 2007.) s0 e& m4 u r2 Z0 A: V( b1 t" l4 z! d
