As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:" C) v& M1 _ p8 [4 p; ^7 G
" D/ e2 ?2 R9 ^9 K# i6 U8 O* \/ _- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. . H$ v4 ]5 Y; d1 c9 ^* ^3 L
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. S9 [2 d$ S+ O R0 ^. z$ n$ j0 v
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
. ]& @: ^5 K8 K4 `+ y1 y' k+ {; w. r! Z- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
7 r% j% n* y4 L, N8 d( O- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
0 ~3 `7 T4 Q& |- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).

- Previous supervisory experience # a' U0 i* h6 Q; w$ q( C l
- Strong leadership skills
9 E' k4 E" c# F- A minimum of grade 12 diploma % M8 A! w# c9 a6 e- s
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
# `: Z. t R- _) P. ?% E; \2 V1 }6 P- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations ; z- t6 w) k; q$ V
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
