As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:% Z* H0 e% D+ V
1 O( d0 e' w" \9 y- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. 5 H/ A) k; l% G4 A4 a8 b
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
! E; r* I5 s3 J7 X. j, J- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
; u5 X1 W1 N n- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. + y$ C+ z4 [5 f. w
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. ' z* w" Y# V/ f4 K0 y
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 3 ?: |* x# k, k( S# X2 q
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Previous supervisory experience
0 i/ T( I; o' Q" E' d+ l- Strong leadership skills
- N4 `% j1 v3 ]- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
5 m( y9 P7 O, [8 H0 K# O- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
7 Z& v6 }/ X3 s" Z7 E2 D- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
/ Y; A6 @) E+ d3 l# }( C3 N. v$ A- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.7 G# { h+ e& |1 u
