Job Description : Description of Accountability

As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
( i. @- I, `4 X4 H6 \- }" T
) ]3 X% t3 ]- P) K- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. % U# C: c) `) N0 |; t
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
0 R9 [- a9 ]( X" k- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. ) t ` R6 I5 Q1 f
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
& q4 j7 T8 g7 B- w& v- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. 9 w5 `( g2 x+ ~2 C& Q9 L
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). ' F" D& k+ W8 T3 U2 x! o
- Managing shift expense budgets. 8 `* c' P" l- w+ l2 d+ y4 i5 U: H
I q' r6 A3 ]Experience and Education Requirements

/ S5 w" j) L( T7 K: j8 Y/ d- Previous supervisory experience 0 z4 G% d/ \7 a. X; ~5 O! Q
- Strong leadership skills
2 t1 h6 B: K$ V- L) M9 @# `2 v- A minimum of grade 12 diploma 2 x; a+ c) y% X) _; L
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills . \. B ^+ ^6 A" Z( B* b" ~& B. {
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
% M' t, k8 W) n* D7 w3 j: I' s5 s- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
