To become a probationary driver you must:

Be 16 years of age or older. 1 V; k7 W) B* A$ J. m) Z
Pass the standard Alberta Class 5 road test.

2。No more passengers than seat belts. ( k. I5 Y( \9 `0 h2 H; I' P; x
3。Fewer demerit points (8) are allowed than for fully licensed drivers (15). ' j( R9 N/ H/ A$ K
4。Have a zero alcohol level. 0 P% d4 I% Y0 u1 q' B2 B
5。No upgrading to a commercial licence (Classes 1, 2, 3, or 4). , a& {2 u, e8 L7 l4 D; E
6。Cannot serve as an accompanying driver to a learner. |
