Calgary police have now laid charges against an 18-year-old Calgary woman following the death of a little girl at a crosswalk in the city's northwest.
9 R3 m" }" o* s6 u# X) ]6 EPolice Sgt. Doug McIlwraith said Tuesday that Angela Ta has been charged with passing a motor vehicle stopped for a pedestrian at a crosswalk, failing to yield at a crosswalk, and careless driving.
/ v5 S- x/ ]0 C. T4 Y8 fMcIlwraith says the charges could mean a licence suspension, a $2,000 fine or six months in jail.
0 x; D, {2 F5 O7 }% M. P. V4 e2 PSix-year-old Jenna Chang and her mother, Ye Qiao, were struck Jan. 18 by a black BMW while using a marked crosswalk at 32 Avenue and 37 Street N.W.
Chang died of her injuries. Her mother is recovering in hospital.

这里故意杀人判的也比较轻啊， 何况她算过失杀人。西方法律普遍量刑轻
