The fire started around 11 p.m. near the Wolf Willow and Rio Terrace neighbourhoods in the west end of the city.
; B# }* Z ?# Y" pEdmonton Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sarah Meffen said 17 fire trucks were called to fight the fire. It was declared under control at 1:20 a.m., and was officially out at 3:20 a.m.! |" Z/ ?5 m3 r$ P# z% \* H
The fire covered a large area of the ravine, Meffen said, but none of the nearby homes were evacuated.
