6 x9 e, ^- L$ t3 W6 b3 {- X We live in Magrath Heights and we are currently struggling with our 5-year-old daughter's to Kindergarten registration. I wonder if there are parents in Magrath, MacTaggart area who are struggling with this issue as well. I wish to explore possibilities to group up and help each other out on making our lives easier with the half-day kindergarten program.6 _* ~' v4 v0 X. r) @! m6 Q& K3 ^4 Q

To kick it off, here are my two cents.

; B8 F0 e0 c' S9 x1 F/ j+ O/ Z) q We need to make up our mind as to which school to register to since one kid can only send in ONE registration at a time, and it can be really hard to switch school in the middle of the year. Currently there are two options for my daughter:& ^* e5 a- P+ |& u, T# p
i! ^, u7 I5 X% n2 Q w! f
Option 1: Regular program - a new school - Nellie Carlson(http://www.epsb.ca/schools/newsc ... ions/nelliecarlson/) is under construction and scheduled to open September 2016; boundaries not finalized yet. : Y' @4 S5 S8 w& f# K$ I
No on site child care available. * [, c- M+ l b2 J6 r" p2 S* K
t3 W9 _5 P5 X% M) x: u IF we fall under the final boundary, what to do with the afternoons? My husband and I both work full-time 30 minutes drive from home. I maybe able to take one afternoon off in a week, part-time is not likely an option.

2 o' _! r5 \: E" Q1 K, ~Option 2: Mandarin Bilingual program - Parkallen School where there is a YMCA KinderCare close by, $755 a month, AND there is a wait list.
# T6 A7 v7 V6 R i! j& z Honestly, I wish to send my daughter to the Mandarin Bilingual school, but again, there is the afternoon issue, YMCA is not guaranteed and expensive. I wonder if there are other parents considering this school and we could come up with a program to support each other and incorporate with Chinese elements. R/ l3 ?+ b6 v, j& t" d
