shaved perfectly applied, even though he is legally blind, moved to a

His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary.
. P" A2 u( f( IAfter many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home,
/ @* D$ h {9 a5 {he smiled sweetly when told his room was ready. - K* p% q, K. Q; r2 R5 @
! @- A# l6 J& c4 S: i* g: HAs he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual
4 V" Z+ }# K0 [, `description of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been
: w( W! \4 k$ I2 V7 S/ q' A3 D1 Thung on his window.

"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having ( {4 F1 `/ O, d2 }
just been presented with a new puppy. ! M/ x; F! Q) W# F. I' |
' P& C* P3 J9 K/ ~+ E"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."

"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my * p; P/ h1 ?. T& @
room or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how # d! Q) D) G6 Z) w4 y
I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it."

; V4 k; ^3 ~7 l. L6 t7 bIt's a decision I make every morning when I wake up.

* m$ R& o" M. uI have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I 5 \2 |! j0 e) D1 q( L8 Y1 Y& ~
have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed

Each day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new : u5 v& J# L' U9 G; `3 E
day and all the happy memories I've stored away.

Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.

So, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank 0 I$ }1 m- B! \, s3 i
