$ E+ C6 i w: v$ G" C( HEDMONTON — The West Edmonton Mall has reopened after police investigated a suspicious package Tuesday morning.

The item, which turned out to be a DVD player, was reported to police just after 8:30 a.m. and officers swooped in to shut down entrances to the shopping centre.

Police evacuated the mall, and a short time later determined the package was merely a DVD player left on a bench outside the SportCheck store.* P+ t* w, j, f, r2 {
