2 l# `7 R @ uThe item, which turned out to be a DVD player, was reported to police just after 8:30 a.m. and officers swooped in to shut down entrances to the shopping centre.' w0 Q& w9 P& S0 B+ o6 d) |/ j

Police evacuated the mall, and a short time later determined the package was merely a DVD player left on a bench outside the SportCheck store.. D: v+ B D5 M- k% Q7 q

"I think we made a very measured response and dealt with the safely issues appropriately," said Staff Sgt. Steve Jones. "We just contained an area within the mall."
