* Z. o8 }/ H4 r2 ]* ]* \" Y! @Builders started construction on 468 new single detached homes last month, a 34 per cent increase from August 2013.. t! {$ Q" y% b) Y" {( ~4 M
; ^& \$ e/ S% P( _“Right now we're running flat out, we’re building as much as we can,” said Rob Busby, construction manager for Landmark Homes.

$ c( z" P$ K$ t+ Q* l5 u$ `The increased demand is due to strong job and population growth, according to Christina Butchart, senior analyst with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.
