1 [6 z! T0 E3 \6 b5 L! _An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned.

/ U6 V# d; i, [According to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.+ `; q: W0 L8 o3 N8 g4 b
# V; p/ a2 u; ]! GShe lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.* e7 Q# F ~& M! F, b9 ?* O
- p* N" L; u) d7 x+ XThe man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.7 {7 L* Z# }6 _* P$ l

Search efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said. z/ F- @* D# d. u* u7 r) ]. B

4 U$ D I; K) k( o4 MA Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. The names of the man and woman are not being made public by the RCMP.
