Engineer report和home inspection是一回事吗

最近要买一个房子，因为房子属于在小山丘上地势是斜的，所以中介建议做个engineering report，但是他又说和home inspection不一样。

Engineering report sounds like a geotechnical investigation to me, involving bore holes at your site.
& r, x6 Q  ^/ h8 Y8 U: }Some builders do provide this report.  Engineers would use the bore holes information to recommend the type of foundation for a house.  Usually houses in here are on spread footings, but it is not uncommon that some of they are on piles where at the unstable soil conditions.

老，要换...， 有没有问题不知道。

" G% H3 [( C" ?. @; v怕得罪realtor, 不按事实写报告，可能认为我们不懂英语。当我们指出后，说钱可以不要了。

细节就不说了。建议找个懂结构的Inspector.
