买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:
! _- G: e( k/ K+ [1 ?, N+ Q6 V, O& o& L•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and
. F% A3 b4 U( e•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).; M+ n, O$ w. Q7 P
So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

A share in a co-operative housing corporation that entitles you to own and gives you an equity interest in a housing unit located in Canada also qualifies. However, a share that only gives you the right to tenancy in the housing unit does not qualify., I+ }0 v7 z6 f& C8 \6 w

在税表的Schedule 1 - Line 369行填上5000,折合成tax credit =5000*15%=750. 就是把你的交税额减去$750. 2 ]$ s# `: D3 G

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.* f3 Z, v/ |& Z; ^) C/ |6 x: {

# \) R! g# {7 y- }: z! g; \+ v  [When more than one individual is entitled to the amount (for example, when two people jointly buy a home), the total of all amounts claimed cannot exceed $5,000.
