Alberta's Orientation program is now confirmed. In addition, we would

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
$ T. T! q2 P; {1 N5 G; R& ]9 ^' vattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of
' T5 f$ G2 v1 Qinformation that will make your transition to the University community
; x- N( y5 t9 z# M* ^# nmore successful. }1 n7 c% g5 w" j/ S) w! y
" o: M8 U, a0 AOrientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, 8 n2 A# G7 R: F3 r7 {4 @
September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check
! F9 k: x4 s" o1 |2 Bin location is T B 105 in the Henry Marshall Tory Building, which can
( P" X. W' l0 ~be found south of Saskatchewan Drive, west of HUB.

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday, 9 a `7 h9 [5 N
September 4th, 2006. Check in is at 9:30am on September 4th. Your check

www.campusmap.ualberta.ca to find your check in location. However, don't worry about having
2 q* l1 r& n+ Z, o! f4 gto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds ! j/ e2 U. F, c$ x6 G2 P
of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
8 e" A: U' J- E2 y9 L! q8 ]look for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth , ]" i) c7 f, i8 F0 G- A
of directional information.

' N+ s" u' E9 Q! [0 ^) D" I% CBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening
2 p5 E& F2 G7 r. V* Gactivities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend
- Q, z" y& a" v; va variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday r2 \/ k9 ^0 F ^6 e/ \+ R
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in % Q1 g/ h& I/ p

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on ) I$ Z P1 F" V8 I
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
& ^( w3 g1 g& b8 }& Y+ kand then continue to meet with for the entire year.: p7 H& G5 s7 s$ J) m2 `

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
4 s# I' S1 P; K3 mto get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
; E0 _: N& J! ~/ syour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
X* ~- R" S" T! ~# A5 ?- c+ ?ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process 9 W. J- i4 `7 f+ }
your ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece
, |$ Z5 Q0 @! ^+ ]6 iof government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
3 Z2 q% E, D; v V( j' i3 ^ RComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic " s U1 s5 T: h
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and ' a6 R3 N9 t [
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
; g/ {/ g) D+ _# R1 o6 Itwo days of Orientation).
