Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales% X/ l7 ~; i' P4 p/ C. r5 @5 B

Key Responsibilities:

• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales.

• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations., u" Z' |! \3 m5 c. {- U: w

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.* P: M% B0 e8 A" ]

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours. 

: U/ P9 e+ g& g v: o# u4 Y% S• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

0 e) v/ P# D2 o& W7 Q/ J• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin

• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

) Q6 b: z e$ u• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
$ V% _% V: V3 ?. ^" ]# I) W
• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.
+ j) V; O b m0 a' D
• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.3 N6 o2 s' V9 ^+ k& p& Y

• Travel within the assigned region.
