Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

5 g& Y8 H, V8 N# zKey Responsibilities:

3 X2 K0 t2 O) X8 R- s `• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

+ W/ ]0 n! i% G4 Y& L0 p: u, g• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

% E1 i- i7 l% B) t. i• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.5 i* d; E8 q9 @. e

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.# J* i4 v" K/ q, v& m" A* G8 h6 |

Job Qualifications
6 p! _ s+ b/ X* p7 Q• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

: i. y n0 K4 R- s0 Y8 G( |' N• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.
+ f. f( _' a% ~0 V# ~: N5 P: C
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.
* v* ~8 P" W. v6 E3 e
• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.
1 t; h/ p/ t* d
• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.8 v# @' w1 [ s& F8 S0 ^7 X

• Travel within the assigned region.

• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
