0 K7 O1 F6 Q( ~* g. s4 O; [/ T' D+ s% S( N9 U
(1) You can not teach an old dog new tricks ── 照字面意思是:你不能教老狗学新的把戏。 (Some people find it impossible to change their ways; or older people can not accept the changes or new ideas.) A; _4 _5 D% l/ V8 Z! N
! P" E3 |* z7 W1 ~
Stop trying to teach an old dog new tricks; you are just wasting time.(别想教老狗新花样,你只是白花时间。) . }+ F3 S& i! a& A0 y
Are you trying to teach an old dog new tricks?

( Z! r1 X% ~/ b$ Y7 i1 z8 s: i( A0 b& F1 G) \' w" {; S
(3) Pepole (或 Those) who live in glass houses should not throw stones (或 rocks) ── 照字面的意思是:住在玻璃屋里的人不可丢石头。 (Nobody is perfect, so we should not criticize others.)
8 J' \6 L/ t8 I1 @. A' W& ]7 J5 d, v( W7 @( _3 q$ ~( A9 ~7 z
Don't judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes. ; d* h7 Z6 p, v; V% T( \8 P' l
(judge = criticize; have walked a mile in his shoes = have understood his situation well enough) ) `! f( r! d# b

8 Q3 D+ G6 q- ~% dJudge not lest ye be judged.

  Y9 L, A+ `0 K  Q; X1 \( l5 ]9 z, l5 X1 U
* [4 Q, ^! @( }" Z, {7 }1 kDon't be so grumpy and pessimistic because every cloud has a silver lining. (不要这麽暴躁和悲观,事情也有好的一面。) ( C5 j  F0 z7 x8 i. S( |$ u' Y
