Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks
! R: Y: d8 S7 B
-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
% W+ E) q% Y% @- a1 J0 G2 k-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
& ]' y. S. \+ ]$ [; k7 x" ~0 W: e-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
% i/ N7 M  W% r3 D$ l-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
. P7 V- i: c, d0 N-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
! `/ x9 K5 {0 I& _-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
8 Y! B5 K- i. O& W: v-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
$ E# J+ p( W8 J# o' H; v$ C-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
; ]' f  y; A2 r( G1 L-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
9 a, m* H  u/ B  h-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
