Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

, x8 b: M: @( WResponsibilities and Tasks

, r) X( A0 y4 S4 e3 {3 a" m) s-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
3 |( V9 c# f5 z, A- i-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
) H; k1 _( w5 {8 h/ ?5 }-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
3 \8 F8 Q, l3 x) s8 u-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

( g- w2 A# N6 y$ NRequired Qualifications
. x7 y8 ~7 Q0 N' ]5 o
$ o/ M1 j% E: Q8 w% E' ]-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset

-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
