Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

R, z/ d ^3 H6 u" JPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 5 f2 M) N9 M; P' D

* }# k; D, t* G% l/ E$ |1 i• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
( O3 _% u0 i. ?1 R1 b9 j; v• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
! `: Q5 W. l% n• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately; u# I! ~+ H7 I Z
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter/ T" E2 ]/ F' Q" t0 s1 A
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents1 ?2 c9 l. i. u0 R. e+ W6 x# i
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
, b; l$ Y1 [3 I4 M2 j• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
' U% M- Z; I- ~0 R* a• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events0 q& ?- Y: @0 g! M$ R
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
% M$ a. x* ]0 y1 B+ M1 u7 c3 H• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters& r6 `/ O( i. |" \- X. f+ H
• Maintain front counter service files
& L" q! y$ j7 Q& \8 ?* F• Perform general office duties as assigned

6 O+ l/ Z* h( M- A4 y9 f• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
6 N& {8 F$ d& a* g, b/ ], n" O• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients5 z# `5 _* M" O& u# K5 m/ }3 k, W& o" _
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:3 o3 r" j9 M. n2 y5 A, `) |3 s
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
8 a: q% \7 w, S2 L, a% d• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
& K' M7 V1 }- J" _• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism: Y& L, h& i' | ^) G4 \
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision3 S% \9 H4 h5 {) Y: }: F
