1 S( d" g4 O# ?, T3 N, Q, DPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. . t9 ^* c) \( Z+ y6 w+ I

! q' Z# l( V2 y/ r5 U• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person1 i5 T7 c3 S& V0 E V5 _
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
. W/ [! X( O5 l: B• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
& r9 o0 K0 r; a' j8 O; c' }• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
# t$ f% a! `) q" f( F• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents1 j8 _3 ]5 f/ ?- w
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker* [, M8 @( N4 e$ [
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
" }% O% ?* G4 n: H$ g; V b• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events. \* h9 o# o) G; S" C
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean8 ]* D# c1 u' x7 B( V8 K
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

# T; ^; r" g; M! K# n& WKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
@" A4 x: ]3 }7 r# F9 ]• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
3 ]0 V Z* i5 m; h5 f9 C3 P. t4 l• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset! a( H5 X# z' |+ Z! e8 o
• Good English writing and oral communication skills( O0 Y/ w0 C L" K( L% t) H
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
) v" v/ X# y+ l0 ~$ l8 D• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

Qualifications:
! s6 n3 A/ i% N8 g* V4 k' Y• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 I% ]% I" D" n# S3 j3 _3 |
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment& }/ ?8 ^7 F T5 n! g; n
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
# u( I/ W* e$ H5 R• Ability to work well under minimal supervision% e( }9 y) \: Z
