Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker7 }- S9 Z0 W- I( N7 n3 V

( D- f1 W/ A' a/ ?Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
& L* c% ^8 u8 Z0 r; L7 c" Z• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST! g) A) Y! M1 p
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately* g0 c! h3 G3 Q' @$ q/ e
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
* k5 P$ M3 e# R) s• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents; ]9 C* A' R1 _" e5 V5 t
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
9 t+ }' B# `& r• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events: S9 g* p" H* I0 q
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
: e! F' v W- d• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
- ]7 \6 x& M" B• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters% [, o, w& e$ q$ ?1 o- F& u
• Maintain front counter service files

0 f! w/ u5 r, |! A2 b' s1 A• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person ?; a# R+ f( Q
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset$ d4 ]; J$ w7 g3 X3 B0 F( N
• Good English writing and oral communication skills( q: G, M" j/ X4 d+ Y2 k
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients; I' z( I( Q: c7 V
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

; {, M! S, H- N• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience . p; x' W" d9 F# M8 V
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment/ J2 ]- x" Y0 N- z, Y( H8 v
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism& y2 E: a# J8 T' P" u- F
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision8 d- ]+ u5 b, O! E: z
