7 ]1 h# L) m: TPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. : n. a5 F4 C7 B% W& B- ~9 u# o' I

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
R8 l3 H% |1 }• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
4 w4 V! A! A" D: t• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
( e' X+ T" N0 G3 _; K# {• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
/ p$ A, w! S7 x6 c0 Z• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents- _3 Q2 ?) Y! t9 k# X* {
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
; U" F# j& A, n9 ?- D$ N7 N& g• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events1 p8 F+ s2 y ?1 M, j& c
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events% V; W, t# B1 M( C5 i n' ] }4 u
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean& Y" }3 T7 R: J1 ^
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
P( X' K, q0 R& _" c• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
. I9 S+ h8 o' Y% \4 G2 x, h• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
p: l4 g# B* {• Good English writing and oral communication skills
6 X# Z4 w- J- } ^3 a' O9 p" o• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients h9 t, t2 }5 p; n" C& D: l9 R
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
' t P: c) V) w; O+ H4 [8 y# s• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
