A Fort McMurray man was announced Thursday as the winner of $21.8 million in last week's Lotto Max draw.

Chris Fowler, 55, is a heavy equipment operator originally from Newfoundland who has lived in the northern Alberta city for the past 30 years.

5 D: b6 H! H+ A" F( x; v( lFowler had been carrying around his ticket for days before checking the numbers at a local gas station. Now he's making plans for his winnings.
