- submit information for community news

' @* `1 p$ p7 U% |2 a: b9 p/ @- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers0 j! ^; |! `8 F" ~
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties d3 C. `5 h/ v8 v' h
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
' l- o) }8 O7 Q" H4 Y$ h- provide volunteers for various programs
1 K) R% k% U# o3 c' Z9 j- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
- R6 d1 ^4 r7 y4 g/ ^5 W) a- R- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
% G# T P6 {2 p/ Q/ i1 A E3 s- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities: p; {8 V* ~2 `& L: [
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services8 n) F9 t0 h" }7 p9 x
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
- Z# c; O# P) ]( F7 J3 `- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
' O# J; J" O4 ]4 l% [$ Q/ u- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed1 y5 c& S2 }7 z
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)9 T2 I! D D5 ?6 ?& D& X
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
+ _- T' V1 n) g. U% M- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
+ _' X- P' h; J2 m F( \: [* n. N- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis : Q1 N" u D) ?- }+ D5 ~

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications9 V, b& s( ?. i+ Q* A8 C
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education, m8 m& c$ U' ^& \* \: y& N: }
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills/ H. m, X' o1 e' D9 v
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
6 D. D- Y! l D! Y3 s) J! f$ P' Q- leadership skills
5 c# T5 ^6 C; K- management and supervision skills
