- submit information for community news
9 a% ^8 Z! x# n- provide volunteers to update membership database
6 m3 @# c; q4 B( s$ }- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
2 A$ P: s3 q+ P( z' N6 B- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties1 x2 j. S7 }4 T, r( D- U; C
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
% G8 T" k$ b) c9 D" {- provide volunteers for various programs 9 H: S: G: I2 d: }" o# p
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual

- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities1 L A- }! r0 Y; @9 ]
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services& u# A% @" q0 n) N3 [( r0 J2 Z2 p
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports' }7 a& i' S. Z7 m
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed
- v" \9 ~: D# t# y- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed9 n5 \/ Z; i2 P) J; p
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)/ H: P0 e# a, z# Q8 P
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers

Qualifications
0 R+ @3 L( L* k$ ]2 L- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education6 \. ]8 H7 B" _! k( }. x9 v
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
, a; \4 {" ]+ x* k- r6 @- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services0 X: G- E% x3 Q% Y) P/ \
- leadership skills
% x* M N H& u" Y0 r- management and supervision skills% T+ H1 w" K) b0 o8 h8 U
