- submit information for community news

2 q# Q+ T. g: T$ [* Z- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers2 w* \7 u4 R# n: w4 x" ?
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties* y! y1 A1 T; P7 y" ~% H- K! Y1 h
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties# k% Z/ ?1 C7 t$ g/ ^3 e
- provide volunteers for various programs
- S8 o4 ]: S, u3 ^, q. D- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual
M/ L% B) V0 ~; k/ J5 j0 G7 m' @/ J- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
5 G; y9 h2 Z5 ?- S& w8 ^- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities; m' a y4 X/ f
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services& P! {3 x$ e3 }. W
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports7 K3 z8 @ X* A0 l- l+ X
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed; M$ l S" G0 W
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
% |& v3 g" k' n* A9 |- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required), {8 Q6 L9 k* g3 G! B
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
- i% a0 S2 f) B9 j$ Q- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
- t: e P9 H- i5 H% p" U6 ]3 \- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ! o5 Y+ p/ s3 B8 b

Qualifications: x/ J1 D7 `/ j' X2 i
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education b9 a0 e/ q( S. |
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
4 q6 t+ c, n s" D; x- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
* A8 \, I. X! J- leadership skills+ z. P- l5 }1 i% I) M, x& W
- management and supervision skills
/ s- m$ ]& l& @2 q/ X, L3 n- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills w8 b5 u2 q. b4 C, `
