What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
: p% Y( y. d$ A+ r9 p0 qEffective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:* `: j7 f2 M; m+ i+ j; f
1) Any bodily injury or death;
) I! Q2 T/ a* N% }4 j5 I3 q2) A Hit-and-Run;
% R2 K$ s# m- ]" K7 x `3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;
% ^$ P4 f ~+ I, {0 x8 w4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;
4 h0 O4 n7 Y% k' v4 T5) An out-of-province vehicle.2 G) A) \. X% M' F

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.& x7 S/ M2 y" k5 e* L5 y* \
