What is the criteria for reporting a traffic accident? Can I phone it in?
* c" J/ f9 r; `# z) W. vEffective August 1, 2002, Saskatchewan motorists will only have to report motor vehicle collisions to police if the collision involves:8 I% Y( Z. p. l9 R: l
1) Any bodily injury or death;
& F' K* `8 P# \6 t) M2) A Hit-and-Run;
' n3 X5 [" L" P" x* Q9 r3) A driver impaired by alcohol or drugs;
6 b; H' M o- F% C+ T- p& r4) A motor vehicle towed from the scene;; p$ t4 B& ?, q; m
5) An out-of-province vehicle.6 R5 C( \! t0 V; T) t. M% x

Normally, police would be dispatched to the collisions described above. One exception may be an owner's discovery that his/her vehicle has been damaged in a hit-and-run, but the vehicle can still be safely driven to Police Headquarters. In such a case, the owner could make a report in person at Police Headquarters.! I: Q9 z2 ^; w" c
