) G" y: i- h/ q4 QWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
6 K3 C1 u! C5 \& }' f0 h4 Y• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person& Z- X) T J h1 v2 f6 v, Q. s
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST* o3 I3 S# t6 B! _5 i7 e6 o% O
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately. U. ]% Q' h# W: ?0 b$ M7 G0 n
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
5 g3 r" m/ `1 J) y- m ~• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents# u& Z5 c4 V" ~9 T+ U
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker9 U! ?( F5 `& c' w: \: W
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events" R7 h( E1 B: z& X4 @
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
# N$ v! g5 @7 N" R6 b( h: p& w• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
+ z B& Q- q+ k. b* T• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:* q7 |! |2 Q. D D( H) t9 j
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
F$ y/ K: |8 v% f$ S• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
& B/ d2 N0 P- U• Good English writing and oral communication skills) B) d! P4 x1 f: Q( P, a
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
) S9 l$ j3 s$ e# U& N, b$ m6 u$ V• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds. S/ S; P- g# x0 V
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
& O. p6 ?- S; u8 r9 m( Q# \• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ) }- p2 |2 i8 I) y. c
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment P1 w/ \" G9 B+ L8 u9 w' ~. u
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
8 g; l9 d; b2 U& |2 d• Ability to work well under minimal supervision/ _, g: m+ v! D" t7 l; D
