Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker% t% s, K( ^: i7 Q0 x, e. e% p U
Hours of Work: Part-time (21 hours per week)

Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

# f8 q8 T6 y$ a! {1 IKey Responsibilities:( Z2 {* l) O% b3 P" j" f
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
' }! n" U+ H0 h; `/ E• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST4 J, \; r( \# F; n" B& Z9 I1 g8 [1 D
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately& r. [7 m1 U. K& @7 K& n1 V# p
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter" W! |' @- U" D4 c
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents. ^6 ?- l) B& G `# D r5 O9 C
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
4 @! N4 k/ W1 c1 u: \- a• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events, n3 a+ S+ O# S# V
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
& R6 S3 ?! H5 v. g' ~• Keep the reception area tidy and clean0 P$ @; f- ]" \/ N6 b5 G' L) P
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
+ C. |7 `; W% @6 Y8 K: u8 o0 f• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
+ [/ l# G B, B* \• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( i! N2 _9 ?7 H' r! z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills( Y7 B# @! U' }7 ?
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients e% w, k, F* x9 e
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

% i7 p$ m' v" V8 E* r) f• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience : f$ _' `! f8 y; @$ O; F, k
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment+ y1 \1 W) L) Y3 v- q1 o
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
+ S1 K4 W+ J. q& Y: H' R• Ability to work well under minimal supervision+ n" o# G! g; Q
