Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 3 Y) Z- C( ^* E3 u

" L' j% c6 N: {• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person2 b* [$ d, a, Z5 Z3 a4 S* t
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST; Z; C1 X. d* b9 M' V" E! O
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 D6 l- C7 \9 C+ ^4 V
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
. f- R5 i9 b m; \7 x• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 [: n+ C) r q5 A. X3 C
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events5 T( f0 k( T9 z' Q! f
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean( I& T, N0 G- e5 U0 J
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
+ t5 o( l/ A5 B4 k8 ]• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:/ I8 [* w4 P) J+ U7 \: C8 N
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person9 \* P4 W5 b! B
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
@/ M2 n0 T. K7 h5 v• Good English writing and oral communication skills
?% `2 `) c6 T. ?! I- Y* \• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients; G, `) y' r i
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
/ N2 [7 y8 X: E• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
! o6 [( a7 B, U8 k• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds6 k4 m3 q# Z% L, P3 m
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:' S! h; V5 u& U" Y8 H' G
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
0 d* M, I6 l; r: |+ Z• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
8 M) H+ J$ J! Y9 J9 ^0 k X/ L$ J• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism5 l1 @/ U$ H1 K$ t; |8 [
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision3 _! V& v3 H7 @1 `6 n+ E, i8 O
