Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 7 O3 o. Key Responsibilities:
0 f3 o2 J# m& ]9 L) M+ Z• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
/ f+ Y) ^* z9 f. ?• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
# B- d" }+ @* q. Q• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately/ d U7 H: L- @
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter D; N/ ?8 j0 ~3 Y- a
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
4 _! K' @$ r6 G3 v0 |( }• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
( E$ y# E) r! C% F• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
6 _0 w3 j7 r( j6 [: ^1 y' n• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters' c* }3 ~( t/ _4 c
• Maintain front counter service files4 ~7 f5 j8 H% A Q" w4 P, k
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:7 m+ ^2 j6 ^( E: p }. [
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person- n0 X' l% I& Z h3 ?
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset0 f# ~; w; W& I6 j& e6 h" K
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
+ v$ V3 b. t: k& y• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
- m, I4 ^) \0 `6 B7 z9 U4 o3 `• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook$ i) U4 U0 s% w( ?% t! R/ B' g. V
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:3 A: o9 r/ Y/ E
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
- S9 K( L; u4 ?% d% `, r• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment& c% T3 ?2 e) A: z) F
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism6 j3 U. s9 v" u7 v7 s
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision( U4 l9 r: E) g& R# o
