was traditionally captured with medium-format equipment for maximum- D6 |4 V6 Z4 u6 Z' ~; K, l3 V
image quality. When the 35mm format was adopted within the genre, it was

- u; v3 U2 b/ qWhen I’m shooting beauty and jewelry in the studio or fashion on location,

range, color rendering and the final print. The detail from the D800 produces

easier to read. The camera body feels solid and ergonomically simple, while

cameras always inspire me to test and explore, and all the useful features) V1 Z$ x8 r( t% b- ?( Y
in such a compact package will open huge creative possibilities for my highquality( Q2 ^* t1 M" [4 o' @
prints and video.
+ W5 n1 N4 b* D5 y4 kTo me, cameras are more like paintbrushes than technology. The goal is
- n& y: p/ g9 C, \* @, M6 b) l8 Q) Nnot megapixels or technique but the image, and while camera models3 V; Z% o7 a0 c7 G5 F8 j% S. _! ~- m
are important, they are not the be-all or end-all. But after a lifetime using
, f8 }1 N$ } r* A# i8 ]4 A2 S8 ] a' Y/ Ocountless cameras, I have found a new best friend. It was not love at first
6 e+ @- g5 d o# O% usight. The sharpness and detail were initially intimidating, exposing my flaws3 k' o$ a: L+ s6 u; O' a
like never before. Subtle camera movements showed and differences of- Q& d( J9 M e
acuity between aperture choices on various lenses were apparent. But now I
6 V4 u8 D* f( n4 y6 q( [- l* oam enthralled with this technology. Why? Because the images almost feel as6 ^* r( s8 n+ x8 r
though they were made with a 4x5 view camera! Special features like timelapse7 N8 ^. B% D9 J+ C7 Q; A. Y/ b! z
photography and the improved HD video quality and flexibility also add
5 D6 e) A* _# L3 g( \6 Jtremendously to the camera’s personality. After spending a month with the

is that now I will think differently about the images I make.

$ N5 U N: O4 V1 r. scompact and reliable camera system fulfilling the requirements of my personal

' u8 S% q$ J9 a4 \ Iperfectly match with the newly invented system and produce breathtakingly
3 E/ T/ C! L* m( uclean, clear and sharp files. This camera gives me the photographic flexibility
# x% ?7 R6 m# c t/ N( Yto work at unusual shooting locations and capture images in an exceptional! d$ |5 o+ F" D2 K1 j V" W
range of light. It definitely takes my photographic versatility and image quality
