Senior C#.net / SQL consultant. 1yr contract starting April 2nd, 2012.

In general, key aspects of the role are:
" D) q5 J) ~' v) B# A& r-        Help define technical architecture and develop strategies for incorporating new
) I" x# P% |# H8 N1 g+ ntechnology;
/ ^! D3 P! G0 f" E! S) E  y-        Identify where new technology can be used to meet business needs;
5 i; O" d* s" x6 J2 d; l-        Review requirement and design documents to ensure follow department standards;
-        Participate in peer reviews;
-        Create and Maintain technical documentation;
/ `2 c, D& _! f3 E3 F-        Programming planned enhancements;
-        Testing system changes;
# ~# r- l7 R7 j- `-        Ensuring changes to the application meet the department standards and follow the
department’s change management processes;
-        Providing Microsoft SQL database support for improving application performance;
-        Very good technical skills to respond to problems from other developers;
-        Providing on call support after regular business hours as required;
-        Lead short term projects;
-        Effective presentation skills are required to communicate solutions;

-        Knowledge of the Systems Development methodology is required to ensure

A. Mandatory Requirements
6 j7 ~% K, s: X(a) Experience defining technical architecture and developing strategies
for incorporating new technology.

(b)        Experience developing multi-user/ n-tier/ Object Oriented applications using C#.net. (Maximum of two years of VB.net or JAVA experience will be considered as equivalent)

6 |8 P0 Q+ I, J" G5 S% |(c)        Experience developing SQL objects for an MS SQL Server. (Maximum of two years of Oracle experience will be considered as equivalent).

( _# q# y$ w5 X! n(d) Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation with formal change management procedures.

(e) Experience working in an environment with a team of 3 or more developers

(f) Experience reviewing Requirement and Design documentation for quality to ensure application standards are being met. Creating and working with design documents/user requirements (software artifacts).

B. Desirable Requirements
6 M; S# g2 t+ \* P: }) j# n(g) Project experience with formal development methodology.

; b$ r2 ^; O7 j- k8 u(h) Experience with one or more of the following tools:
  H' a6 L$ C) X% \# {4 ]- Infragistics controls
- IBatis.NET, or MyBatis.NET
- Nunit
: m' w# q  x% Z5 e# x4 m- Crystal Reports
- Pdflib
1 A& ^! {* `5 C0 O& y: E2 I" g- Microsoft Project Portfolio Server

(i)        A minimum of 6 years combined related experience and education as stated below. Additional education and\or experience is preferred. Combined education and experience:
- A related University degree and 2 years experience; or
4 g- J) Z4 R! J0 M0 A- A related two year diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution and 4 years experience; or
$ `$ n8 ]& a5 E, q- A related one year certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution and 5 years experience.
