• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
9 L3 L: L8 ]3 v5 C5 L• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components# a7 H* F# {# g1 C
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers) J# v: X5 l0 P, x) N
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams/ u5 J0 ?5 L1 d6 W) Q2 e$ |
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place& }3 s$ Q7 ~* q( f0 p6 I$ v
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
% V" w, r) m) d _• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
. C! D5 X8 S. y' U, Q5 L• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting
3 C7 S! d) R7 X& u' n• Mix paint, blend and match colors* N1 d' v& g: y- }2 u
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns
, o ~ g( w' e• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs0 M( q' K' g$ o& W1 t- d3 L
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation' K o- H1 C; Y0 ]6 Y
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling* R$ t: A; r8 F* O* v
Education and Experience Requirements:5 n Q' V, @% E1 Z2 A2 {
• Completion of secondary school is required

• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
