Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
& z: u. a6 T4 i) n- r7 xHours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person! a9 n, U2 X# S
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
* v; L6 U6 N4 {+ s• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
6 k M# r t% A" } E' ]5 _• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter4 m9 }( L% F1 G; z o
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings& y- z- [8 F5 v& e1 |4 s% N
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents5 m# F# S) e4 V2 k; A5 L
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters; X8 ^6 s6 V9 Y$ J8 Q* ?
• Maintain front counter service files

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person: U4 [' o" n- {/ K: g
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
1 [7 w% E3 q: ?/ B" R$ z4 p• Good English writing and oral communication skills; l* D5 y% g: R i P5 b" j5 L9 O
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
( K$ b2 D; T' R. Y5 D; _7 ]• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds4 \% T% W; r7 R* S
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment3 i: K( g! r: a/ l) K/ x( T
• Knowledge of immigrant services; w' _4 ]; ~9 T/ R- L. ^8 n- n
Qualifications:8 a' @/ j. O; s2 j X8 v4 x" r; V
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
( ~0 M" e! w* a4 `. N& z• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
; \; h6 K! c6 ?( [- [& K• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism6 Z5 r' ^* c i; E O
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision" n" ]/ B& j* l/ X! O2 }% m
