Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

$ I7 R1 u7 {. k/ D9 ?- t( x* [- nPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
* c! ?$ w' d# D+ K/ N4 b. Y+ r* d• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person) i) U. H# A7 Q. u0 f% f5 S
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST. d, r* N5 I3 J( a& R! i
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately) E1 ?- V, F0 W _& {# N
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter! K( J& G" u: P
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings8 n: m$ |9 g/ w8 H
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
; {+ |. V, C) a. c1 E/ e: {0 ?3 a• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker( W6 c* O; x$ M
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
' v/ r* Y1 \* y5 \4 o• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events& F( o! g4 N E. Y; \
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
: k' p: w3 K4 N/ c+ l( v3 x q ^4 y• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
9 c% M+ ~" c4 Q9 S q9 L• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( o8 I3 d, r: L5 i4 S% G1 \
• Good English writing and oral communication skills% U+ \5 p1 ?7 h4 |
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
2 e, |! ^0 V( P: M7 Q' a9 J• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook+ G7 [/ a% N, {, g% p$ g6 i5 S6 b9 X
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment$ h7 t6 i: ^* D- N: t
• Knowledge of immigrant services, a0 S( o$ j' n* `
Qualifications:" A+ X4 A5 i9 x0 J7 W
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience & Q/ `. |4 ^1 H7 D0 E
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
( T) j% ]" T+ l- B( D• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
