Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

1 {' ?% N$ E, O8 ~+ EPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person' J6 ?4 W4 T' Z0 g o6 ]
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST. h& ]% t7 W' |) Q+ M! N7 [/ t. b
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately: Z# T2 A M. M) l* O* X1 U
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter0 `8 f" j9 W0 c
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
0 r& A! V! j, ^- j1 n% _- s, m( H• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents9 F u- z7 W* U0 p
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
. B9 S$ Q6 ^ J# ~/ G3 e ~• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
4 o3 }: I- ]& i; I• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:: }0 P/ c, i6 H/ {1 U
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person8 U: u1 r" x+ \$ E# H* k/ S
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds- H$ T# I4 y/ ^ N
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
) M; D6 R+ V/ o• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
' _% E R6 M0 h( N7 V& j' o• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
% G1 ~$ E: Q* t3 c8 y! H. j3 ~• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
