& S% l4 c+ K% F5 IPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 2 g1 {7 M4 r" q; ^

Key Responsibilities:4 F4 h- y o' l; x) j8 ]% g
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
) ]% g0 {* k$ F& N2 o• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST2 L# {$ ^7 B1 f! U7 l
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately. j% I* u b1 P# K9 T, Z2 e
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
: V# X# G/ W1 |( p: D$ I( x• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
" W& L0 o! K' R6 |+ @& A8 g2 h• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
- E) n; D6 |) v" d2 `; ?: T• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker x4 Q* q3 R7 A s6 S) V; m: H
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
D: J' c' X( p" x \: f• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events M: M+ A0 u. h2 W* s. y& S( m
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean* E' Y, s4 m) d9 g
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
a2 U/ E; e8 d+ N& V3 O, R# ?1 a• Maintain front counter service files: A/ L' o: a5 r8 L; W6 @
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients# q. x+ ~* n y {1 e% j+ y) }
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds: Z2 P# z+ X) N6 `" [$ ]

• Knowledge of immigrant services1 Z# y5 h& l. r4 p- s n# g" D+ a
Qualifications:
' t% ` k1 j' }' |; ^2 {$ t• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience ) E+ e/ s8 A; [" l" D$ q8 n
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
5 s' A7 m& F2 R- X, V7 c• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism5 J+ c- P* r% s5 M8 y- d) C: }
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision2 ~2 ~* f6 B, t1 V- t. o2 m
