B; L# kPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person) f& x9 E2 g* y8 e3 h, v9 H) y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
6 ?: T/ l8 v. B$ m• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately# s! d# @# x4 S. ]# P* g
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter- v7 ?6 Z4 n* i
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
: K! C, }/ M4 {! m• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
' ~7 N2 s! s9 E• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker' i0 q1 b a; a1 h
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events- L8 M% s& M7 `7 M" D8 `) _
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events# J" s' j7 d5 B7 h5 ~
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
/ _- w) @/ W3 q$ }9 q• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters6 v& |4 @" F9 S1 V1 Z
• Maintain front counter service files

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
; z2 ^3 i( S5 {/ I# l& j• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
R1 H4 s5 I) e+ C* h* L" L• Good English writing and oral communication skills
' m' y6 P. o; |2 [! R p6 r• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients" `( |1 J* Z/ ?2 o0 k7 E
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications: z9 e, w |, z9 q: i8 Q
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience : w, |1 G1 E* B, s5 a. h
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
' Z* Z0 `: c# i" |7 M- W• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism! K9 u0 g! g- e& V6 n
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
