4 R% l" u7 t9 P6 m2 n; x0 aPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ; _9 b) p( ^; I, T" ?& _( {! b8 c
$ j) z. i- w& IKey Responsibilities:
8 J- b+ N& O9 I$ T+ F( Z+ ] ]. L# ?• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
. \& g) }4 x, |1 v4 n9 P1 ~6 L• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
# \3 [0 O' R y4 a• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
4 V. I0 k( n# V5 I4 U& F• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter# c7 v; B- J. {' g' f6 o
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
# ?' M! Z( v* M; ~0 c* ^1 B• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
. J/ u, `. W B2 S, [3 U0 l• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
% T2 H0 ^1 Z2 P• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
3 M* I% C8 T3 n( N9 H• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
8 ^( V' _; u# I @• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset: n8 X! b. J- o7 Z6 ~ t
• Good English writing and oral communication skills. k8 D4 h8 i, O1 h; f* d
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients% i6 e) `' q: V( L2 e
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
+ ^: D7 }) S1 \% C+ @& H• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately / X- C d, E8 s F) B
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
( I- c% z+ u+ A& U" ~4 I• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:
- N! B$ p2 D& b/ k' }; s• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
- i) |4 K4 i7 h# j) F# T( ~• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment" b4 ?7 z$ p1 v, p& X# l0 n
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
