Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker5 |- T7 u! Q5 o( W8 U7 ?
Hours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)0 K5 t% g% j! |' R
$ N) n* C' w; O% s) W5 b- NPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person4 L! k& k7 Z% S/ \
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
5 y2 n T: r, d: F• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately9 H2 A. e. H) ~9 F6 w7 ]
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter# B ^( w* \; A) K
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
7 m# d$ [5 I* F C• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
% Y! p! @0 w6 E2 o" c8 k1 O• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker" g) ?: q B) y! j* d6 Y1 ]
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
* c; G9 d0 j+ t: S3 _• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events+ A; o, m8 e* P' Y& C
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean

• Maintain front counter service files6 c: ~! d. f7 @4 T" a9 R, u

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
; e7 _( B% u& V" @: b• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person* O x. g* @ }
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
3 P8 h8 t% U% [% F• Good English writing and oral communication skills- c, e) h' }5 y' b4 {
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
- H2 l9 a+ j' ~4 t• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook+ W: Q4 I: [) [6 Z/ ]/ x
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
! n$ B0 |: w1 e' b• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

, G) h# U: o; i5 d• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience

• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism" X& \, |/ _1 w
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
