Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person- F1 L5 o* W6 e p2 U
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
2 r. c2 W2 |: @ W. v; }• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately8 c; |, l$ m. i
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
% u. p1 N( W; k0 @* U• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings. L# M* @1 y. F% Y/ U) b
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
9 \& q/ t) G: L7 s+ k1 }• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
* C( ?2 l4 E+ B' ?• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean2 _$ Y E) H% P# c
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
# S0 e0 [: q( Y8 g6 E1 R• Maintain front counter service files
% F. n$ N. i: a" W1 ?& r1 V• Perform general office duties as assigned

8 n! |- f9 G5 o* ~• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
" i' j# e+ O. p. o4 L1 H. ]• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset" a) L+ c4 ?. A( a3 }) u: {# z
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
/ k3 P* c1 S# a5 v% T• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
1 w9 [5 Z5 }* A+ H2 n• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 q/ ?* O/ U+ z/ J. _2 ?) Y& g
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment+ b( a# W3 ~; J' g9 {) v) u
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism( ]3 \4 A' F- C: o6 N
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision; y+ M: k; y3 K* K8 z% |: ?! j
