) L+ I; k6 y y: v# _. I2 p• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired( a' p% e' { Y& W$ q2 ~
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll( }: A h$ z8 J& D c# A
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records

" t& a/ G4 O- Q. ^Reporting duties:

• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website) U8 H' l- E; ]. f& J
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s0 S- n- d; g. x2 C' D5 h( u* Z
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

7 n: |4 K+ |/ B+ R• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll , O4 Z5 G$ p& M/ s- H& }8 G
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
8 F% D q7 k; T/ w% i! ~% s• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies) a+ H& o, G8 K# ]
• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting( |, Z6 t9 o" r1 ~9 f
_1 S5 L" G" D# T/ A" nAccounts Receivable:
5 s$ a3 n) @/ g, q0 L8 L* ]1 b• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit0 d( s' @4 M5 r+ C
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
" p6 d/ U1 Y# s% N7 z# s5 W4 L- w• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
- e; D0 ?7 B" h o• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:& A# c/ y& h7 Z2 l; n1 K0 |
( ~8 O9 ]* O* H, o& s• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP, w( i+ \/ x8 r3 j
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association) D- \" I7 g l4 I* p
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
2 y% u& E4 P) v5 ]. B5 j• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office! ]4 ]! C2 P+ |
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
