YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. R: C5 @! @) ]' W5 z; U3 I
Job Responsibilities:

Payroll:: x8 d6 w s) X6 C8 G
• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
, Y) M" w @8 X: {8 P• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
* a- T2 B. ^1 d) Z• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records 1 U3 C* A- ]+ @9 R) \. f
• Input benefit deductions into payroll

Reporting duties:
5 |$ u0 n/ \$ I7 P. f- U! Q. c• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
! s# R/ _5 f" ]1 Y9 [• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website1 H$ |5 M0 ]' p" E8 N {2 U
• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
, i. P0 ]" p( V' J0 V0 \4 k& \% g) D• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority$ X1 ~# w$ Q) x% S
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations1 P! J# r/ @ [# k6 i% U# B! g
; R R% X; D6 v1 _. ~4 O' C% F& H- w4 vCompliance:
: C% E) S* Q7 A1 H) @• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll ; i5 a# f- U) n! ~* `
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
_% ~+ A7 Y0 Y• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
0 v5 i' I y) L/ L+ J& ]( H• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit0 _/ q0 J0 W" P# C+ p9 x' ]
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department& ?4 D$ ]. D3 \, I
• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments

• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP. r# t& F) t" _2 R1 a+ F+ h
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association8 w5 j% @" L& _/ D
• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
% F1 M# w1 d; R: K! b• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office, V" W. ?, C* h0 \/ B; C/ C; ?$ V" v
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work# c# C$ _# L7 v, ^; P# M g' Z
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
