9 V2 u  c0 C2 C; `- C) R+ k" HYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position.  The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.
. A! k. Y5 v3 t+ b/ s/ ?3 }: j" R! {Job Responsibilities:, D2 p5 Z9 p8 U1 g: Y  N* }

5 R+ M, e3 t' G, I! ~' _* G+ VPayroll:
* K2 O  c& P! c" L8 \% V" z" X6 ]•        Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
9 P( P5 ]9 n4 r; l: ?0 q! d. g•        Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
2 Y3 `% W: c8 G# j3 @& a# }•        Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records
. b) z! E4 j% K# p" o% W: e6 m•        Input benefit deductions into payroll8 W! `4 J, f' g1 u' u# O" L1 J

; c+ a' d  `8 r& H& FReporting duties:
3 i& [" {7 p4 W1 a. ^' n: f•        Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider
+ s, S5 B! |  q  G•        Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website: y$ z$ S" g* T
•        Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s9 \" U! ^$ W- t/ {0 b
•        Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority" m' {& I: |; B" H) I: A
•        Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations
& q" E. F9 A  V
" R$ r- \: z7 T! k. MCompliance:
+ `0 s# T( d6 J# o1 L; i•        Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll " U( }  y, W3 Q  Z4 B
•        Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
7 Y$ `4 P4 p/ ~. ]•        Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies. z% G) G$ B1 \/ m! O& }
•        Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting! E6 r% r: J4 R1 b4 r, [' r. a9 f

Accounts Receivable:
2 O+ J! T7 p% Z$ n  ^9 m: v•        Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
& n; Z3 v5 S0 M+ }( m' `# _2 |•        Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
: m, U) W+ H0 U! F. o8 A•        Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
' K' A9 d, {9 B0 f0 l$ x4 U•        Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing% ?$ I+ r) }- k$ [

Qualifications:
' E; ^, a1 \$ o8 O+ s  M( v# ~2 b5 `6 N
•        Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP) a1 w. Y, R; r2 n: i+ {
•        Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
( Z7 _. u! F, a•        Minimum  2 years experience in a payroll related position
' r0 ~! E0 n& v+ J/ k: J•        Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office  M5 X0 a4 b/ l
•        Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work5 f* D1 {; B; r) S0 {6 b
•        Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
1 B, c8 i  L* `6 b•        Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
( U& m4 Y6 h5 t) F) K- u, @# X+ Y. i
