/ V9 e- B7 i* R- P- I( N1 iYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

) C: i8 h# Q+ s3 NPayroll:
' [5 ~$ `9 U0 Z0 A f( |1 [+ T3 C• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
W$ ~# K7 ]& A! e o• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll8 C& J+ a2 ^1 u6 H2 d7 y2 A
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records ) \7 E& C. a% s1 m! l0 {
• Input benefit deductions into payroll3 k; ^' T a. T

Reporting duties:% C/ s U2 k) _3 h( ^8 F; _
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider: I. P! d! I1 {2 S( c" U$ r4 K
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
: f- C# G. b% e: ~; \5 |• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s9 Q5 |( D" V# T, `/ Z
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority; {/ g0 \. w/ `8 f
• Complete employee records of employment and salary confirmations$ Z7 L% s2 }+ k) q; P9 t2 z% D

Compliance:
4 K& a1 _* j5 w• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll ( N+ ^: j, N: @( O/ l
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
$ s. L- T9 W8 b; E1 M3 W9 U• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
( f& e$ Z4 O. V4 m# m& N/ G ^4 E• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting

7 v0 _. \" J" }• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit
5 V5 _9 g" J" m1 \. M& `1 }• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
' [) v1 Q, \1 c5 K! n* n• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
' @' L/ I) }8 p, |9 x0 D$ j• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:( }1 E ^5 W2 W! Q* P& N/ a# @
( O& y3 }: N; R5 S$ I5 d* B
• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP' k! i5 R& w( Y+ Z, Z
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
u6 ~. N6 J/ C# v• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position3 E1 w; b; U/ X) K
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office+ R. |3 _4 R6 X' M: V1 I7 K
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work

• Knowledge and experience of cash handling procedures
