The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded1 x, Z5 `# p9 Q* s4 N# ?/ S( M- V8 \
# a4 E4 x# f, |; \% J! pproject that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased+ o4 E/ k2 p( }6 }
employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.: ^, x, A+ P9 x! k+ ~0 N
The goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining3 J! L: X7 R6 L! G0 U5 Q
the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
3 q6 ]& T# S: M* w2 yparticipants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
7 c" l# D9 ?; e/ _personal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
( l4 R+ ?/ @! OAdditionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
4 |) C0 ~% D6 f$ g: Vand leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
! o; a% t8 P9 sfollow-up once the program is completed.

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the# \4 j- e) T, L' a* }
YOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
