Position:        Youth Leader
# g$ g2 r, D- u( l' ^( nDuration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
7 [3 f- \/ k/ m+ a+ ~8 `Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
$ e; ]* B1 a0 U) ICamp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
Time:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Program Coordinator:        Daniel SUEN


Duties:
To assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

; ]/ Z; }# c! }. F% z3 R3 p( C Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
) Y2 V9 z0 R" Z4 J( @ Provide positive modelling to youth
 Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
, R5 \4 |+ m7 `: b; r2 d& W Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
7 G0 a8 Q3 {. x4 }& ] Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
 Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
+ h0 j4 Z# o- t& K) k  H- D Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
: c5 a( I0 t# ^ Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
 Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
- `& s4 C. @/ g( c% e" b+ t/ } Assist in program planning/design
7 T& E8 \1 l' F0 _: A6 E- V' G Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

9 |& V# @# z' o Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
- I2 q+ B' O* ^. |2 D# f  [0 e Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
 A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
; v! w; R! w- Y1 x Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
 Able to work independently with minimum supervision
 Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
. X2 l4 M- ~1 w* V5 @ Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
 Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
