Position:        Youth Leader
5 K' L* _+ W$ z( D: j0 y  NDuration of Commitment:Summer T.A.N.G. Youth Program
Camp 1 – July 04 – July 14
Camp 2 – July 31 – August 11 (must attend an overnight camp on August 10 to 11)
% k: g& ^% ~$ r( t  l9 DTime:0915 to 1600(Regular Program Time)
*might work in other time in some specific days
Place: ASSIST Community Services Centre

Program Coordinator:        Daniel SUEN

/ h8 ^% _' }9 \/ O
Duties:
  k/ @5 {' |% q6 U8 Y: b7 ATo assist the T.A.N.G. Youth Program Coordinator by providing clerical and/or activities support in the followings:

+ [# J! N2 H- S' y Distribution of promotion flyers to schools, churches, communities and relevant social agencies and professionals
 Take attendance if available
6 b* q# C( F; T& y& f Provide positive modelling to youth
! y8 `4 t2 I) n! u! c) u Facilitate or assist in ice-breaking games and/or other activities
0 `6 [% z$ i- _7 Y+ P Facilitate or assist in small group discussions
 Research activities related to the session’s topic upon advice of the Program Coordinator
+ d; }2 B* c( p1 E. u+ d( w+ a Watch out on the safety of youth either in centre or fieldtrips
% D/ @: J8 T* c7 I. ^  B  a( W Report to the Program Coordinator for any doubts or concerns and/or any troubleshoot behaviour
, v+ f1 R7 o; N; D5 y3 \ Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program Coordinator
 Must follow guidelines or procedures stipulated in the manual/training
, p2 e3 B4 P  F3 r Attend debriefing sessions/ongoing training
 Assist in program planning/design
5 r( Y" `  I* s, f- {% l Any other program related tasks as assigned by the Program Coordinator

Attitude/Skills Requirements

% b" s$ n" v1 E- q- t0 r Mature, sensible, patient, organized, willing to take and follow instruction
* C  F) y1 x/ i; q4 I Be open and willing to initiate and maintain a positive relationship with youths in the program, or youth who is matched on an one-on-one basis
  m+ o# o0 }, {% z- ] A team player, can get along well with other staff & volunteers
" }( m8 V! h/ L& a2 O/ R  k6 a Concentrate efforts in the group session or activities over other distractions
 Able to work independently with minimum supervision
$ k' Z# P- W  E! M& d Value building on strengths in children, youth and families
$ T& }& [. u, p( i0 q, @! \ Able to get along with youth and/or youth who might at risk
& Q. g: E$ \' M Certain proficiency in English and Chinese
