1. It's cool:cool
0 f7 N' G' A U4 x0 z1 q' D5 Q. e; ^9 w2 ~% Q! ^/ {* A
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard. 5 P" i! N. f/ j2 F) A) ]% |4 r
" }7 ]3 Z1 q* ^' i$ ^2 K; Q That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.8 ]: c8 |+ O" B. D/ D

) R' l1 B5 x. \3 Z$ D0 i! c& [8 g5 `& {1 S/ J6 u2 d
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
5 p- H6 W( B" D7 I6 y- a( D, I7 B2 F/ \0 S( [: ]
She (He) was cool in the past.' g' D8 h/ i+ I$ Z. _
* q5 o/ N) D# `# ] P That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)

6 y; [5 ]: w e! K He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)6 K- \- h! [ `. c4 `
$ [, h- e: f: B! p
但是如果说:Are you cool?
, e: _/ a; g0 z* h, J) v5 B7 _
She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not8 ~% L3 y: M- `6 |5 o

(注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」)" B% X: f) H2 `. c! V* g8 d' ?
% m( N+ f M4 C4 ~# P 2. Are you trippin'?:trippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
7 t2 A" s# g3 n) t' Q) M4 |' i
& R) V) i9 S: Q( j+ i+ P+ D' | They are trippin'. (= tripping)

3. He is a nerd:nerd (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) (IQ = Intelligence Quotient ; EQ = Emotional Quotient) nerd 可用复数,动词也能用其他时态。
2 b' P( g8 X5 ?, i% F6 k% `
. o0 O# P6 Y1 @& D% \% n- [7 o& p He used to be a nerd in high school.

4 b4 d% Y3 A% G6 L* C3 d# i: T- d2 C& l; N$ G' m
8 f; `8 g& \. m2 l6 @ He is a computer geek. (意思是:虽然他是书呆子,但电脑很棒): A$ @+ R5 h8 U, C; ?; O! x
9 Z/ y( G. f' J
2 d) H2 j8 { @% Q8 g; j" |. ~4 Z$ i$ R9 ]+ Y" h8 k
I don't like him because he is a jerk.

( O6 d1 N$ k; ~/ A6 ^: @/ d" x* e# q+ R; P/ O

(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
. o- C0 V8 C6 \9 T) U6 l+ Z$ U( c: K2 f/ R7 {8 H
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
, L7 m. r: O8 n8 ?8 N& @ e3 H7 f6 K- ]1 V D. U3 A& T
' P: o# i4 @) K' { May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
+ T9 p9 _8 m7 j- ?+ L! \
' Y# D* M# n# R) J0 E& U5 \8 V p' j8 `; P& ]( Q
Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)

5. Catch you later! (a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)+ _" Q2 s7 s; R+ `
