1. It's cool.
7 ?5 l3 o) R& }9 W) o  B8 g. J, g" J$ x, f1 Y4 |
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard. L
    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
/ P( s& N- d" r- p. W% H    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)0 O) w7 M0 Y6 [. u- ?
; r4 v& l1 M0 y- `# e6 X. B
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
    She (He) was cool in the past. 0 g8 b( l% ]  V4 ?
    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫) + r  N2 w5 h' s
He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
" f* W' c# o9 @" T5 N' H' G, y( j9 y" ^7 z# [8 `8 a
但是如果说:Are you cool?
    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not " u6 |" R+ `+ Y. ]. n/ A5 r; v, A1 s
    emotional. # P' J' F0 Q( Y' |
    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) + g3 ~! u% ^5 q& x) G6 v  A6 d0 Q
  d9 f) F2 B0 ?+ j$ N, N; p
2. Are you trippin'?
4 N2 r  e% ]: Z5 E7 n$ j/ ~4 o9 [* |  `+ Z7 y" l, x
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
7 G# l% h/ m; K2 o" U1 H2 x    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
0 K4 w/ F8 o' {( s( o7 }    She (he) is trippin'.   f3 Y6 Y/ p1 Y8 S' D! ^
Mr. A must be trippin'. " `7 @) t, B* W. S$ q& Q
4 ]6 _& l( _5 W4 z8 ~
5 {( L( _7 F/ @3. He is a nerd
% v2 B* K$ L8 d* w8 i7 x
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
He used to be a nerd in high school
& @; `/ K" e% L* U* `. t
( W: P: S- M  V' v1 I% ~4. Yo baby8 _# b! n" y  i( x
7 [' i! h# E* a+ h
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: " ~2 T$ ~) ~5 s8 W4 x
Yo baby, are you trippin'?
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
9 G! L# U7 o, p: z1 |; E    Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?) . O5 O' `% @( a9 i# Y; ]
2 {* G0 ]2 C" o/ Y' X
5. She is a ho
, c: L" m# p, D3 z
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
3 H$ T' r/ K" R# O# Z8 m+ F1 {    They are (were) hos. % f+ w9 E5 \$ \4 z  W( t" \; O
There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) 4 j" Z8 J0 }3 i
# @7 k  X& D* {! I* u
6. Catch you later!
. E: a' O7 n  L2 N$ y2 y( c% C5 O% F: U* ^. ^
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
' O: j6 t# e9 _有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. 0 }5 n7 K; A8 p- W" q! E
