4 S8 Z1 K6 [! w* @SEDI is hiring an in-house financial literacy trainer/coordinator who will help build financial literacy programs across Canada.

}% U/ p1 l" c7 p& P. z1 u; U• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners 5 c0 {1 h0 i8 t0 a- |# ^$ Q1 z" ]
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation 8 X4 d0 _+ K7 X: V" a$ \. y* u
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs
2 F) m) O0 B J. d, T• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits 0 H# m$ a$ C6 K* S& Y
• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses ; [: O/ a7 z9 a
• to work to reduce economic vulnerability in Canada
D) x! Z! E& H- v5 dPrimary Responsibilities and Activities:
" m2 Z3 W0 N6 i• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada & ]) c( h: ?( n; z9 e7 K. ^
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc) : m, z2 m7 A! o9 T; {+ s
• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
5 Z I. n) r/ w5 \8 d• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities 4 b# w8 R' t! M% a4 N+ I. w0 g* Q- k
• Working with evaluation and management information systems team ' X3 W6 K2 K* ?, }
• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required
# }; u9 `" B; ?4 Z% Z1 COther Activities: s! q0 K% Y! v. P2 g# R! L
• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
7 x; `7 h+ z8 l! N9 w- p' l3 ]• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
7 }7 L5 ~( h$ ?9 x• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
& ^- P1 K/ H' C/ C' J• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports : O/ v' D: B& t8 u6 A) \
• Participating in the development of Internet-based strategies for sharing findings/effective practices and for promoting learning
7 q0 o# G; M- ^1 IPrimary Qualifications: 5 w0 N! |5 A& p$ G6 ^2 v
• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
* w, X/ n6 d8 K9 V2 f• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media
_' m: `7 w) S# a4 ~7 z• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training 7 m' H. L. {# k3 O
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities
- b- s7 G Z. F! ?& k• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams U A; L4 a* w _. H

• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts 4 S0 l% Z" ?* o1 Y8 j6 S' m; L
• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them
% s9 ]! ?$ B, l* s% o2 |• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc
* v/ D, H4 L5 Z5 C6 w" h• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education

• Excellent organizational skills

• Marketing and communication experience an asset
