Job Description6 @* H# b @! Q& j
- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
0 L& q* J t4 t4 |) X; W+ H5 Z, x- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
5 |6 S8 i3 X5 b$ ^: N- C5 U- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
5 u# j3 p8 s+ ~9 n0 ~- provide support to ISP staff
2 ?% ~ C& j% i$ O8 f4 h4 k: x- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members& h% F6 [5 F0 I! N7 O* L) {/ n
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities+ O2 [" d) T9 U3 l& b" ]7 P+ ^
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
0 }) M6 ^9 U. i( G7 e- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants% f& b4 s4 r1 @3 D# H: k M
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
3 g' d5 F4 [3 W' U- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder( M, A! H( ~; j
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.: \6 W( A: k. p& p% z
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
+ E( u7 c. G, O0 G; z- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
$ ~0 P$ \5 F' H" Q6 E- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available6 B. [1 w3 @. t/ b( y! o7 ~
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers

- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
