4 C) U9 h2 I* k* d( EJob Description
0 G8 `& A) E" }- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
) y  E3 F0 `/ `+ v2 M- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
( ?8 q1 q/ Q: Z+ P) ~-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
4 b' D; s/ u( }- provide support to ISP staff
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
2 A4 E8 r1 i' Q- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
6 O" G4 }. u* u+ Q# y# E- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
6 i4 F5 J% L5 n/ a- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
7 z( H( Q5 R4 q- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
$ j# C$ F: I* n' q8 @4 M% ^- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
3 ]+ _9 `9 O( |0 u- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
- other duties as assigned

2 C* @: U/ |- O* eQualifications
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
( f; V- M+ j, @/ g% p% `- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
4 k. Z$ r- G/ J4 [1 I- good organizational and coordination skills
- valid driver’s license

Salary
" ?) f; s3 i5 M+ O- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
