The Human Resources Advisor is a generalist position, responsible for providing a range of support and expertise, enabling management to deliver best practices and human resource solutions which support the business operations of the PCN.. ^/ Z$ i" s$ p2 Z
This role reports directly to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities
* I1 K) x5 Q% NThe key responsibilities of this role is to review and ensure effectiveness of day-to-day human resources functions, includes, but are not limited, to:

• Provide guidance and support for recruitment, sourcing, job postings, screening, interviews, reference checks, and selection practices, as well as job offers
. s7 J- t' c9 ]* N/ w/ R! q• Develop, administer and evaluate applicant tests
1 ], K7 a( R1 W% C7 K, |• Ensure job descriptions are kept current
% x3 d' K+ L. R& C- ~9 k• Manage the new employee orientation and orientation programs

 Manage all policies and procedures to ensure consistency, references are correct and there is no duplication or contradictions# h$ ~' J% B& J/ f- ^; ~
• Advise all employees, especially Team Leads and Managers, on interpretation and administration of policies, procedures, programs and legislative compliance

• Monitor attendance/absenteeism and assist with the administration of performance management program; R2 O; W6 R4 x, t1 F) ?4 c
• Support Team Leads and Managers in the administration of discipline and employee coaching6 @' [" d: t6 v/ c: p. e: t
• Provide resolutions to employee relation issues (e.g. employee complaints and harassment allegations)
! v' m) ^6 l9 O* W• Conduct exit interviews and provide management with analysis and recommendations

$ }$ W5 s! X. S% _: g1 p7 N! P• Maintain accurate records and compile statistical reports relating to personnel data – e.g. hires, absenteeism rates, performance appraisals: c/ l1 M* H( j9 H; C4 D
• Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization's personnel policies and practices

• Provide input and support to the management team on employee relations issues( W3 X# S& l0 L! T9 P9 @

• Administer and record employee rewards, recognition and incentive programs
9 A# N* M2 U; x6 }• Manage salary structure and job evaluation system, from time to time, as required

• Oversee payroll administration and maintain relationship with payroll provider

• Manage claims for short-term and long-term disability, and ensure effective return-to-work programs& B b8 O2 A+ N8 |6 ^

Qualifications & Expertise1 b" X0 Q- n3 t% c* q/ c
 Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR generalist (series of progressive specialist roles will also be considered)5 e* x. `/ `. m+ E) u
 Minimum 2-year diploma, preferably in human resources or business administration specializing in HR, or related area of study (equivalencies will be considered) t2 ^( J- _9 D
 A CHRP designation is an asset

 Experience managing change is preferred8 z: L: V$ ~! B! U0 E3 v

Hours of Work & (if any) Special Considerations
