Position Profile Heavy Duty Mechanics inspect, service, and maintain diesel locomotives in accordance with federal and company regulations.

Diagnosing diesel engine malfunctions and making indicated repairs
- g4 |5 w3 ~* MOperating machinery in a safe and effective manner
$ ^$ F0 N" ^' A' f  N7 J1 QProviding daily locomotive maintenance that includes changing oil or repairing, replacing, cleaning and adjusting parts

* U: Y) |1 C$ U5 }! \. j! TVisual acuity and hearing threshold tests are required for this position. Written pre-employment tests to become a Machinist Apprentice are required for this position. Completion of 3-year apprenticeship is required to become a Journeyman Machinist. This position is subject to night, weekend and holiday work hours when needed.

This is not a Red Seal apprenticeship.
