We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

; p# M* c% H/ ~  f( O+ @" iReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

6 b( S% V' Q+ E9 q: V3 D- Gathering and documenting requirements;

- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

* F! {, _( j0 J( D- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

4 \. t/ B, i, C- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

% R* }5 S5 e% @( s6 _( N- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

7 ~' U+ L$ G0 q8 b4 d4 i8 d" q- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

% O: |, x! N0 ^: {! s0 w- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

# Q: h, ]) i/ R2 E2 c- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

% E2 V; q) p! F9 y- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
