We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

- Gathering and documenting requirements;

/ ]" \# `, R4 @/ @! P* \; \- p- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

1 j( Z* E# F, j7 B- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

& q4 J8 k# B2 c+ Q, f+ {/ g0 S- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

9 l( j  u2 c% m/ o/ J- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- _0 J% j% ]* V% F8 j# g- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

% G4 P& e  j- M& i- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

0 ^2 a" z& ?3 f- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;
