 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
- t$ ]1 R1 g7 M8 b% R7 u/ p- ]* A Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
4 |, O" x+ I/ J! {% G% f" R. L Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
0 h# S+ \3 X" Y9 r5 E# R% B Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
& s( `% c1 S  w, o# r4 l6 W Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
& e& [! v: ~$ _7 V* c* H6 u Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
+ e* T+ X2 j, s4 L Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
6 ~4 C2 @, p# P5 a( @8 @3 n5 I7 ] Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
8 h) I7 L. Y# L/ i$ j2 L3 D Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
8 Q5 v+ E: `& E, r7 ? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
