Assists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation). l; ~2 k9 G+ t) i
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required6 b& w1 R6 S# t
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed" F% h* Q1 `3 x: f
Performs related tasks as needed+ } B9 Y& T# R0 ]5 i% F
Qualifications6 x# p, O3 i/ n
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred
6 J- q3 C6 p( [/ p+ [+ r5 K- GDemonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred) a( J8 i+ U4 i# t3 R
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
# P8 J/ ], I$ B0 Y: QKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred O* n, M+ h" y" t
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit
