8 U: e1 N3 Y8 p0 \: l Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
1 B" v3 l% v( ?( E/ v9 R# n Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
5 q& x6 c) z( ^9 C Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
% {9 B; f7 k8 i# ?) Z Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
6 f! u5 M+ \1 ^% U/ r7 Z' ^2 @+ J Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
4 P7 |. K! F% t, u0 b; z Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

/ K/ `" ?( g& F Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
: r4 J" ^6 c; Y9 A, f# { Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
' L* d% W/ h9 ~: c# J- U" L6 |) P- _ Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.
+ J2 _: R% h5 V. b/ ]. \" i
4 p/ G7 d" o5 i7 F1 `4 v3 h+ UPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
1 l$ p* c# u% O  C, m/ C% \: bThere is a 3-month probationary period.
