Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
6 b. C; w% }4 p0 \$ J4 T Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
( z' y: ?8 z1 u Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
8 B  g( s5 M5 m' N9 x Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
$ E/ p2 w, D0 b Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
5 P! X4 E3 U: ]$ a Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

' D$ f9 ]3 `" TQualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
. L$ ]  b8 o! O Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
, Y7 M+ y: E: `& T5 R6 b Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
