 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
1 b/ C/ b2 N9 A- T8 x Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
; q3 G4 ~6 U' {6 W, q0 p, K- ^ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.. k+ u6 o2 Z4 p% {
 Completing required paperwork.9 S. b$ K" p3 k( a, K0 F
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.* ^9 g5 O: B& J% Z7 S# P
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
& e3 u, B# u: M- B' H Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
9 b! j' @4 ?( g5 h* L1 D6 X Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
' o" Z* i5 \* ?% Z; I Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.$ f/ n0 M; h& z3 {; z, m- B- S, ^( l
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.2 d/ F) L0 K6 L: e' u0 y3 D
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.( b$ _3 o9 x5 ~8 v

( @9 ?" J& Y- k) y1 _ Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.2 j2 C4 o: {8 t
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills., e) z1 D, m P; r+ f
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
6 i, A3 \+ Q# U2 q: v, p: b9 v Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.0 x' E1 g9 T1 w: B4 S# ]
 Knowledge of community resources.' O& } f9 Q: b3 Y
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.& `0 v( C6 @3 w# b. E
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ( x( {$ Y k! [+ }7 h

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. & z; j! D/ N. }/ o% [; A$ M
There is a 3-month probationary period.
