 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
: \% @+ F/ ]) _8 ]! A- a% } Completing required paperwork.
/ B4 t( H: q  e9 k8 W& Z Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
2 [( V& F5 e' c/ b: o Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
2 h' g. A; t/ v/ o& n& {* Y Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
! y+ U  w* ]/ F! X6 ?8 }& H
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
4 V6 o9 j; D( d Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
  m2 e* {5 m* _7 r; V8 V Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
1 U$ {' [; G- h( |7 X Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
7 ^% `% ?) w& }$ X Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
$ T, W- j+ L1 {! t* J Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
